I am well aware that the 2012 NBA Draft has not even occurred yet. Still, we are looking ahead to the 2013 NBA Draft with insanely early projections on how it may unfold. 1. Minnesota- Shabazz Muhammed, SF, Undecided, 6-6, HS Sr.
Considered by many as the top recruit in the 2012 class, Shabazz Muhammed has a complete all-around game.
2. Cleveland- James McAdoo, F, North Carolina, 6-8, Fr.
He will serve as UNC’s sixth man this season but the combo forward might be the team’s best long-term prospect.
3. Toronto- Dario Saric, SF, Croatia, 6-10, 1994
The prototypical, versatile European, Dario Saric has great handles but has a long way to go in his physical development.
4. Washington- Mitch McGary, C, Michigan, 6-10, HS Sr.
The Wolverine commit already has an impressive combination of size, strength, and athleticism.
5. Sacramento- Kyle Anderson, SF, UCLA, 6-7, HS Sr.
Kyle Anderson is a smooth, all-around talent who is capable of playing a point forward type role.
6. New Jersey- Terrence Ross, SG, Washington, 6-6, So.
The smooth shooting Terrence Ross is expected to have a breakout sophomore season for the Huskies.
7. Detroit- Patric Young, PF, Florida, 6-9, So.
A physical, athletic big man with an incredible motor, Patric Young is ready to take on a bigger role for the Gators this season.
8. L.A. Clippers- Adonis Thomas, SF, Memphis, 6-6, Fr.
Already blessed with a NBA-ready build, the Tiger freshman is a tough match-up due to his strength, athleticism, and ability to shoot the ball.
9. Charlotte- Mason Plumlee, PF, Duke, 6-10, Jr.
Athletically gifted, Mason Plumlee makes his biggest impact on the boards but also shown more aggression as a scorer early in his junior season.
10. Milwaukee- Will Barton, SG, Memphis, 6-6, So.
Despite being as thick as a stick, Will Barton is an incredible scorer who can stroke it from deep or slash to the basket.
11. Golden State- LeBryan Nash, SF, Oklahoma State, 6-7, Fr.
The OSU freshman has incredible athleticism and strength but needs to work on his outside shot.
12. Utah- Mouphtaou Yarou, PF/C, Villanova, 6-10, Jr.
His skills on the offensive end are still a work in progress, but the Benin native can affect a game with his shot blocking and rebounding.
13. Phoenix- Tim Hardaway Jr., SG, Michigan, 6-4, So.
The Wolverine sophomore can score the basketball in a variety of ways.
14. Houston- Rakeem Christmas, PF, Syracuse, 6-10, Fr.
A factor on the glass and as a shot blocker, the ‘Cuse freshman needs to polish his low post game.
15. Indiana- Ryan Harrow, PG, Kentucky, 6-1, So.
The N-C State transfer will sit out this season but should benefit greatly playing the point for John Calipari next season.
16. Philadelphia- Moe Harkless, SF, St. John’s, 6-8, Fr.
A lengthy, athletic wing who can get to the basket, Moe Harkless also has a nice outside shot.
17. New York- C.J. Lesile, F, N.C. State, 6-9, So.
A ridiculous athlete who excels above the rim, C.J. Lesile will need to develop the other areas of his game in his second year with the Wolfpack.
18. Atlanta- Fab Melo, C, Syracuse, 7-0, So.
The Orange big man really struggled during his freshman season but has the size and potential to be a first round pick. He also looks to be in much better shape this season.
19. Memphis- Tony Wroten Jr, PG, Washington, 6-4, Fr.
Quite possibly the best pure passer in the 2011 class, Tony Wroten Jr. also has great size to be a NBA point guard.
20. New Orleans- Tony Mitchell, SF, Alabama, 6-6, Jr.
Extremely explosive at the rim and in transition, the Tide junior can really help his draft stock by improving his outside shooting.
21. Portland- Ray McCallum, PG, Detroit, 6-1, So.
Lacking the ideal size for a point guard, Roy McCallum is a deceptive athlete and good distributor.
22. Denver- Meyers Leonard, C, Illinois, 6-11, So.
Scouts like his combination of size and athleticism, but he needs to get stronger before being ready for the league.
23. Orlando- Rodney Hood, SF, Mississippi State, 6-8, Fr.
The athletic lefty has a smooth stroke from the perimeter.
24. Oklahoma City- Allen Crabbe, SG, Cal, 6-4, So.
A talented scorer who can shoot the rock or take defenders off the bounce.
25. Boston- Royce White, PF, Iowa State, 6-8, So.
A physical presence in the paint, Royce White has overcome his share of adversity already but has the size and skill to play in the league.
26. Dallas- DeWayne Dedmon, C, USC, 7-0, So.
A physical, shot-blocking presence, DeWayne Dedmon needs to groom his offensive game.
27. L.A. Lakers- Joshua Smith, C, UCLA, 6-10, So.
At around 300 pounds, Joshua Smith is a beast down low with a good touch around the basket but needs to shed some weight and improve his conditioning during his sophomore season.
28. Miami- Cleveland Melvin, F, DePaul, 6-8, So.
The Big East Freshman of the Year is a combo forward who is someone to keep an eye on.
29. San Antonio- Aaric Murray, C, West Virginia, 6-10, Jr.
The La Salle transfer has to sit out this season but brings a physicality and nice mid-range jumper to the floor.
30. Chicago- Christian Watford, SF, Indiana, 6-8, Jr.
Christian Watford is a versatile, athletic forward who needs to work on his perimeter shooting before heading to the league.

31. Minnesota- Hollis Thompson, SF, Georgetown, 6-7, Jr.
32. Cleveland- Elias Harris, F, Gonzaga, 6-7, Jr.
33. Toronto- Dexter Strickland, SG, North Carolina, 6-3, Jr.
34. Washington- Raul Neto, PG, Brazil, 6-2, 1992
